上周五在练习开大路，听着电台来了一首萧敬腾的Rhythm of the Rain，音乐响起后激动万分（当你很久很久很久没有听一首音乐，然后多年后再次听到的感觉便是如此），师傅虽没有注意到异常，实则我虽然人淡定地在开着普桑但眼睛里早已经没有红绿灯了，满满的都是阳光下驾驶着Alfa Romeo开在美国乡间大道上的感觉。几分钟后放完了我还久久沉浸在这爵士之旅中，默默赞叹了不愧是美式的经典曲目这音乐太棒了（但萧敬腾的嗓音似乎完完全全不适合唱这种），顺便还对基本0了解的萧敬腾加了不少印象分。
回家后第一件事就是上虾米放了The Cascades原版，雷声响起。再后来我就纳闷了，原来这原版的音乐连钢琴都没的，似乎在这音乐上我还更倾向白天听得那首..（总有种强烈的反差啊） 反复了几次，不得不承认这主唱之间真心有点差距..（应该不少是语言的问题）特别是萧敬腾强行深情用力发声的部分（难道是为了高点），惨不忍睹，要嘶哑不嘶哑要深沉不深沉，一到高音主唱人声就匿了，一到中音主唱中场休息又回来了..（他说AND THE PIANO, JASON HU(是HU吗)的腔调其实还不错）。
但是编曲上倒也说不出谁更胜一筹，萧版的应该是模拟爵士现场，很多地方没有那么平缓，也不柔和，人声更是不稳定。而原版的整体和音色相对更讨喜一点，毕竟是那个年代的东西，鼓声与和声都是那个风格，还是一样的味道~当然了最重要的原因绝对少不了原版主唱的英语发音(学美音)和邻家大男孩抒情时的嗓音（相比萧的”咱们家的孩子”的淘气样真是要好到天上去了）
总的来说，各有所爱，不都如此嘛。
